POETIC QUEENS: FRANCINE SAMUEL WRITES, GAME OVER

From the Queen Of Hearts Collection:
Game over
Alone, I will die alone
Tonight, it's decided,
I will depart this world alone,
I will die as I have lived.
Alone. I can't do it anymore
Too many times I stumbled in the dark,
No one to catch me before
I fell, there is no spark
left in me.
Alone, I will die alone
like a worm, like a rat, like a scum
I have no more backbone
No more solace in that bottle of rhum.
Alone, in the dark recess of my soul
I can't fight my demons any longer,
I can hear all these foreign voices howl
getting stronger and stronger.
Daring me.
Alone, I will die alone,
Tonight, it's decided,
I will depart this world alone.
I will die as I have lived,
without regrets, without remorse
I waited too long for that ray of hope
Knowing it won't come is the worse
At last, I can let go of the rope.
Game over for me.
The end
Written December 2013 as Frenchie ...

NOTE:
This is the first poem I wrote after many years of silence... but I was not allowed to write and preventing me from writing was like signing my death warrant (OK, I am a bit dramatic here grin emoticon but long story) ... Though not autobiographical, I might not have been my usual chirpy self when I started to write again tongue emoticon tongue emoticon but I like this poem because it reminds me there is always hope, light and love in the world and there is no need to end it all - though this has never been on my list to do lol smile emoticon
